In my photographic work, I mainly deal with the transformation processes and the topography of Eastern and Central Europe. Social space in particular, as a repository of human activity, is the focus of my work. I look for and examine places that stand for upheaval and change and analyse different measuring stations: Border areas, transportation routes or any concentration points where goods, knowledge and "human resources" circulate and create the profile of the history-charged, yet fragile continent of Europa. The question of the visible an invisible interrelation and interdependence of different systems of culture and nature is a further aspect of my work. Over the years, the focus has changed from topography to people and their living conditions.
